Are you a Muslim therapist?Yes, I identify as a Muslim therapist. However, I do not utilize faith-based psychotherapy approaches.

Can I do my therapy in Arabic?Yes, I conduct therapy in Arabic and English.

Are you accepting new clients?I am only accepting new clients for Telehealth therapy. Sessions are held using a secure and HIPAA compliant platform. I do not see clients in-person.

How often do we meet?I meet with clients on an average of once a week. However, the frequency of our sessions can be tailored to your needs, either less or more than once a week; this frequency will be discussed in our first or second session.

What is your cost per session*?Your 15-minute initial phone consultation is free of charge. After your initial phone consultation, my fee depends on the type of service I provide. For individual therapy: $185 per 50-minute session *Payment needs to be made at the beginning of each session and your credit card on file will be charged automatically unless other arrangements have been made. Credit cards and ACH bank transfers are accepted. *Your session fee may be increased annually reflecting inflation and market rates. In the event of any fee changes, you will be notified at least 30 days prior to such changes.

Do you take insurance*?I take Cigna, Optum, and United Health Care. I am out-of-network with other insurance companies. For out-of-network insurance, I can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to ask about your coverage benefits. You can refer to these Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes: For Individuals Psychotherapy: 90837 For Family Psychotherapy: 90847 Questions for Cigna, Optum, and United Health Care subscribers AND other insurance companies for out-of-network benefits: Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits? Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet? Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit? Do I need prior authorization before receiving mental health care in order for my services to be covered by my insurance? Additional questions for Cigna, Optum, and United Health Care subscribers: Do I have a copay or a coinsurance? Additional questions for other insurance companies (out-of-network benefits): What is the allowable amount? What percentage of my bill will be paid by my insurance for services obtained from an out-of-network provider? * You should be aware that insurance plans generally limit coverage to certain diagnosable mental conditions. * You should also be aware that you are responsible for verifying and understanding the limits of your insurance coverage.

Are sessions confidential?You have the right to confidentiality except: a) suspected child abuse (18 years old or younger), b) elder abuse or neglect (65 years old or older) or dependent adult abuse, c) intent to harm self or others. You can read more about other Certain Uses and Disclosures Do Not Require Your Authorization here. All other releases must have your permission and authorization signature. When working with couples and/or family therapy. It is important that you know that I utilize a “no-secrets” policy. This means that if you participate in family, and/or couples’ psychotherapy, I am permitted to use information obtained in an individual session that you may have had with me when working with other participants of your family.

What is your cancellation policy?I uphold a 48-hour cancellation policy that requires that all appointments can be canceled and/or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance; any cancellation in less than 48 hours before your appointment is considered a “late cancel” and would warrant payment for the standard fee of your session. This policy also applies to “no-shows” for your appointment and to sessions that are booked within a 48-hour period. Please note that insurance does not cover late cancellations and missed appointments. How do I start therapy with you and what is your availability?You can start by requesting your free 15-minute initial phone consultation through Client Portal. During our initial phone call, we will discuss whether I am a good fit for you. I usually respond to initial consultation requests within 24 hours. I offer flexible appointments including some evening and Saturday appointments.
